IEEE UTM Student Branch

Founded in 1999, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Student Branch (IEEE UTM SB) is a student-run organization which promotes the interests of undergraduate and postgraduate electrical/electronic engineering students. The IEEE UTM SB is the first established IEEE student branch in Malaysia and a member of IEEE Malaysia Section in Region 10 of the international IEEE organization.

IEEE UTM SB hosted various of events such as technical talks, industrial talks, technical workshops, social events as well as facilitating networking among fellow electrical/electronics engineers. Since then, our student branch has started growing and at the same time exploring its ability in organizing all sorts of different activities to serve our student members. In 2003, IEEE UTM SB has finally been recognized as an official society by the Student Affairs Department in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
